The Manx town of Ramsey lies in the North of the Isle of Man and is the Island’s second largest town and is the market town of the thriving agricultural community of the north of the Isle of Man.
Cherrywood Bed & Breakfast is within a few minutes walking distance from the centre in which numerous visitor attractions, cafes and restaurants can be found. Read our Guide of Ramsey, Isle of Man to find out what our town can offer you on your visit.
There is always plenty of activity in Ramsey harbour and behind the quaint buildings along the quay is the shopping thoroughfare of Parliament Street, the old Market Square and the St. Paul’s shopping precinct. Ramsey is well known for its quality independent shops.
On either side of the harbour entrance are the Ramsey beaches with fine stretches of sand. Crossing the harbour is the fine old swing bridge leading to the north shore with the Mooragh promenade and the Mooragh Park, a great favourite with visitors and locals alike.
On the outskirts of Ramsey there are interesting places to visit; The Grove Rural Life Museum charmingly displays the interiors of a country home of the nineteenth century. The road along the west side of the Island is the long and fast section of the T.T. Course passing through Ramsey at The Famous Hairpin Corner is just round the corner from
Cherrywood Bed & Breakfast – a great place for viewing the TT and Grand Prix Races.
Just northwards of Ramsey, the northern extremity of the Island’s length of 30 miles is at the Point of Ayre which is just 17 miles away from Burrow Head in Dumfries, Scotland, the nearest point of the British mainland. To the west of Ramsey lies the the popular Curraghs Wild Life Park – a great family day out.
